Our History
Daniel was founded in 1994, established in England by brothers George and Conal Daniel. The company was founded on the expertise and experiences of the pair, and the company very quickly diversified. Within ten years Daniel acquired the business and assets of Land and Marine Engineering from its Dutch parent, SMIT International. Daniel, now a fully fledged engineering company was able to offer onshore and offshore pipeline engineering works within the oil, gas and water markets, both in the UK and internationally.
During 2007, Daniel commenced its most expansive phase, with turnover doubling in a very short period. While the major portion of this growth was organic, a series of successful acquisitions also paved the way for Daniel’s growth into an international company. Today Daniel continues to focus upon civil engineering and utility works in domestic markets, whilst the acquisition of Subterra in 2008 has further increased our offering to the international market, providing innovative pipeline inspection and rehabilitation solutions.
Daniel is now ranked high on the list of the top 100 construction companies in the UK. Our proven track record, strengths and corporate strategy means that we have an even greater future ahead of us.
