SOMERTON FARM TO KNIGHTS CROSS (Civils)

This project consisted of 8 kms of 300mm and 450mm diameter welded steel KX5 and L2 gas pipeline across the Isle of Wight. The works area included Special Areas of preserved Conservation and Sites of Important Nature conservation.
The pipeline route included both banks of the River Medina, bringing the total crossing to 550m ensuring neither habitat was disturbed. Directional Drilling was chosen to minimise the environmental impact of this crossing.
