Daniel Group was awarded a three year Mainlaying Framework Contract by South Staffordshire Water.
The first scheme constructed under this contract comprised 6 km of 800 mm diameter Ductile Iron pipeline valued at £650,000 in the Sedgeley and Hinksford areas of the West Midlands. The route of this pipeline was predominantly across fields but there were some wooded areas and it included one canal crossing and three road crossings.
The second scheme comprised 2 km of twin 400 mm Ductile Iron pipeline to blend water supplies in the same vicinity and was valued at £330,000. Part of this route is along a disused railway line. In both cases, the pipes and fittings are being supplied ‘free issue’ by the client.
The third package of work is 10 km of 400 mm Ductile Iron mains reinforcement from Hinksford Pumping Station to Hagley.
