At Daniel we can provide water hygiene surveys to help ensure your business complies with statutory requirements. Following an initial survey we provide our customers with the following;
- Comprehensive and fully detailed Risk Assessment
- Asset register to include all tanks, cisterns and pipework
- Survey report including a condition survey of all site cold and hot water systems
- Water temperature analysis through the system.
Risk assessments provide feedback on the results of our analysis including laboratory tests for TVC, Coliform and E.coli. Following the initial risk assessment we provide a consultation service to help our customers develop regular preventative control measures, which may include;
- Tank and pipe replacements
- Tank relining
- Installation of new tank lids and screened vents
- Installation of screened overflow guards
- Tank and pipework insulation
- Deadlegs of pipework removal
- Pipework redirection
- Tank clean and chlorination.
Poorly maintained and unchecked water systems significantly increase the risk of Legionella disease developing.
Daniel recognises that facilities and businesses are busy environments, so to take the hassle away from your on-going work, we can deal with your regular monitoring and preventative requirements.
Our audits are undertaken against the existing risk assessment in order to assess its validity and where necessary we will update it and record all changes in the appropriate site log book. During our audits we will again undertake analysis of the water quality to ensure it is fresh and free from contamination.
Using the latest and most sophisticated CCTV equipment with state-of-the-art technology to reproduce the highest quality pictures, our trained technical operators can see the exact condition of the internal pipe work and assess its structural integrity.
Our CCTV units carry out inspections of drains and sewers ranging from 25mm to over 1 metre in diameter and can traverse in a number of ways;
- Remote controlled tractorised unit capable of surveying lengths over 300 metres
- Semi-rigid fibre-optic rods pushed along the drain line for lengths up to 200m long
The information collected by the camera survey equipment is relayed real-time to monitors used by our teams on site and enables us to pinpoint the exact location of any defects or blockages. The findings of the survey are then collated into a report produced by the WINCAN software consistent with the highest Water Authority Standards.
The CCTV report also includes;
- Full colour CCTV DVD/Video and pictures
- Structural Survey Analysis
- Manhole Inspection Report
- Infiltration and Fault Location Analysis
The full report enables us to determine the exact cause and nature of any problems such as root cracks, displaced joints, blockages and intruding connections, as well as determining necessary remedial works such as;
- Blockage removal using high power jetting
- Cured in place patch liner
- Structural pipe lining
- Root cutting
- Open-cut trench excavation.
